Thunder Love

Snowy mountains they rise

as the rain drops do fall

as the sky catches light

carried far on the wings of the wind

Purple moon casting shadows

dancing jigs by the fire

while the lightning bugs play

and the stars share their melodies aloud

and the daytime still comes

as the butterflies soar

rivers flow between pines

and the lichens shine loudly when wet

and you

and you

rising, falling, catching, and carrying

casting, dancing, playing, and sharing

coming, soaring, flowing, and shining

all in a day’s work

all in a life’s dream

all that you want

is yours

because the earth, and the wind,

and the water, and the fire

will not have their balancing

be for naught
